Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines perform better, are more economical and more environmentally friendly than indirect-injected petrol engines. However, the directly injected combustion engines also get dirty faster internally. JLM has researched this and developed an additive that removes stubborn build-up of dirt and ensures that valuable parts in the engine stay clean.
The JLM GDI Injector Cleaner cleans injector nozzles of all directly injected GDI, FSI, TFSI, CGI and SIDI Euro 6/VI+ engines. Because the engines are cleaned internally, they will perform as if new again, and the fuel consumption and the PN, NOx and CO2 emissions will be reduced.
E10 accelerates the build-up of dirt in the engine
You will never feel, see or hear internal build-up directly from an internal combustion engine; it is a silent killer. The engine will only noticeably start to get clogged when the dirt has accumulated and various sensitive parts are impeded from doing their job. The E10 biofuel that we throw into our gas tanks only speeds up build-up.
The unburnt carbon, oil vapours and exhaust gases circulating through the engine are damaging. All these impurities adhere to the essential and valuable parts. The miniscule openings in the injector nozzles no longer atomise the fuel properly. This causes the performance of the engine to degrade.
Other known consequences of build-up of dirt are piston rings and oil scraper rings that start to seize up and no longer work. This means that additional oil and oil vapours will enter the combustion chamber, with consequences described above.
The mechanical tolerances in GDI engine components, such as the gasoline injector, are extremely small. This makes GDI engines, definitely as they age, more sensitive to build-up of dirt. The first signs of build-up become noticeable when the engine indicator light in the instrument panel comes on, power drops, or if your vehicle fails a general periodic inspection (MOT) due to a high level of harmful emissions. Don’t take any risks, avoid downtime and costly repairs; use JLM GDI Injector Cleaner preventively.
To compensate for the obstruction caused by the build-up of dirt and to deliver a stable performance, the engine management system arranges for more petrol to be injected. This increases fuel consumption and the emission of harmful exhaust gases. Up to the moment the injectors are completely clogged, the valves no longer close properly or other valuable parts no longer do what they are supposed to do.
To achieve the very best performance, GDI engines are equipped with even more advanced technology than indirectly injected engines. The gasoline is injected into the combustion chamber under high pressure through injectors and is atomised. Parts tolerances are minimal and any dirt in the fuel may be damaging. However, the combustion chamber, which becomes hotter in GDI engines than in indirectly injected engines, can remain clean.
This way you prevent your GDI engine from getting clogged
JLM has studied the build-up of dirt in GDI engines. Based on the results of the research, we have developed an additive that focuses specifically on build-up of dirt in the crucial combustion chamber of the GDI engine. The JLM GDI Injector Cleaner cleans the extremely small nozzle-openings of the gasoline injector nozzles. This allows the injector to continue to atomise petrol perfectly so that combustion is optimal.
Because combustion by the clean injectors remains optimal, there is much less soot, carbon, oil and other dirt that can adhere to other essential parts, such as valves and piston rings. The logical consequence of this is that the JLM GDI Injector Cleaner not only cleans the injectors, but also cleans the entire combustion chamber and keeps it clean. Because combustion is optimal, fuel consumption and exhaust gas emissions remain at the same level as that of a new engine.
With JLM, you prevent the fuel injection and combustion of your GDI engine from becoming increasingly reduced due to the build-up of dirt. At the same time you prevent your car from using even more petrol or from being faced with unwanted and expensive repairs.
