Important Usage Guidelines for JLM Intake Cleaner 

Professional Use Only: This product is intended for professional use only.

1. Preparation:

  • Ensure the engine is at operating temperature.
  • Shake the can thoroughly before use.
  • Disconnect the air intake hose at the throttle body or air intake manifold.
  • Insert the application hose into the intake manifold or throttle body.

Note:

  • Do not apply before the turbo or intercooler.
  • Do not apply to vehicles where the intercooler is integrated into the inlet manifold.

2. Set Engine RPM

  • Set the engine to approximately 1500 RPM.

3. Spray the Product

  • Spray the product directly into the inlet manifold in 1–2 second intervals (short sprays).
  • Allow the engine to stabilise between each spray.

4. Engine Idle

  • After 10 sprays, allow the engine to idle for approximately 3 minutes.

5. Repeat the Process

  • Repeat the spraying process until the can is empty.

Note: If excessive knocking or backfire occurs, pause and allow the engine to idle.

Completion:

  • After application, reconnect the air intake hose.
  • Allow the engine to run for a few minutes to ensure the cleaner has fully circulated and any residues are burned off.
  • Test drive the vehicle to verify improved performance.

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and safety glasses.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
